Awala Sarbat / Indian Gooseberry Refresher

My great-grandmother always insisted that the family all eat the fruits and vegetables of the season, regardless of whether you liked them or not! She believed that doing so would help the body attain all the necessary vitamins and minerals, naturally. Thus, we all had to have awala during the summers. Awala is a very good source of Vitamin C and ginger and lemon juice are known digestive aids.
Recipe for Awala Sarbat / Indian Gooseberry Refresher:

Serves 1
Ingredients:
Awala or Indian Gooseberry2
Ginger, Peeled1 cm piece
Lemon Juice1 tsp
Sugar3 tsp
Rock Salt1/4 tsp
Salt1/8 tsp
Water260 ml

How to make Awala Sarbat / Indian Gooseberry Refresher:
1.Wash and roughly chop the Awala.
2. Wash, peel and cut the ginger.
3.Add all the ingredients except water in a blender and blitz them.
4.Next, add water and blitz again.
5.Now strain the mixture and adjust the sugar to your taste.
Serve it immediately along with a couple of ice cubes.

This recipe will give ~85 calories.
