Corn Chaat

This is a very easy and quick salad recipe that can be served as a evening snack or an accompaniment to clear soup at dinner time or put it into tiny canape cups for your party, just get creative! This was also my favourite snack at school.

Recipe for Corn Chaat:

Serves 2

Ingredients:
Sweet corn, boiled300 gms
Coriander, finely chopped1 Tbsp
Chaat masala1 tsp
Red chilli powder~ 1/4 tsp
SaltTo taste (~ 1/2 tsp)

How to make Corn Chaat:

1. Separate the kernels from the cob. I prefer to cut the kernels from the cob, alternatively, you could 'knock' them off the core. Cook the kernels with minimal water and salt and drain the water later. Alternatively, you could also barbecue whole cobs on the grill or the charcoal shegdi (कोळश्याची शेगडी) and then cut off the kernels as close as possible to the cob.
2. In a bowl, simply add all the ingredients, toss them  together and it is ready to be served. You could have it warm or cold, as you would prefer.
 Note:
Make sure you add the spices just before you are ready to serve.
Also, having a container of boiled corn in your refrigerator ensures, you have fresh chaat ready in minutes.

This recipe gives ~ 260 calories.
