Navalkol Bhaaji

Kohlrabi is the one vegetable that I love to eat raw. With an innate flavour that's so delicious, Kohlrabi bhaji is a definite crowd-pleaser ! One of my personal favourites, here's the recipe.
Recipe for Navalkol Bhaji:

Serves 2

Navalkol /Kohlrabi250 gms
Oil2 tsp
Mustard Seeds1/4 tsp
Green chillies, Broken into 2 pieces3
Asafoetida1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder1/4 tsp
Milk1/4 cup
Water~ 1 cup
Fresh Coconut, Scraped10 gms
Coriander Leaves, ChoppedA few

How to make Navalkol Bhaaji:
1.Wash, peel and dice the navalkol.
2.Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.Once they splutter, add chillies along with asafoetida and turmeric.
3.Next, add the navalkol dices and sauté it all for 2 to 3 minutes.
4.Now add milk along with 3/4 cup of water to the pan.Keep the pan covered and cook on medium heat.
5.Check on it once a while and add more water if required. We are not looking for a mushy navalkol. It should be cooked yet retain its shape.
6.Turn off the heat and add fresh scraped coconut and coriander.

This bhaji is served hot with poli or bhakari and a pickle of your choice.

This recipe will give ~180 calories.
