Kohlrabi is the one vegetable that I love to eat raw. With an innate flavour that's so delicious, Kohlrabi bhaji is a definite crowd-pleaser ! One of my personal favourites, here's the recipe.
Serves 2

Oil | 2 tsp |
Mustard Seeds | 1/4 tsp |
Green chillies, Broken into 2 pieces | 3 |
Asafoetida | 1/2 tsp |
Turmeric Powder | 1/4 tsp |
Milk | 1/4 cup |
Water | ~ 1 cup |
Fresh Coconut, Scraped | 10 gms |
Coriander Leaves, Chopped | A few |
How to make Navalkol Bhaaji:
1.Wash, peel and dice the navalkol.
2.Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.Once they splutter, add chillies along with asafoetida and turmeric.
3.Next, add the navalkol dices and sauté it all for 2 to 3 minutes.
4.Now add milk along with 3/4 cup of water to the pan.Keep the pan covered and cook on medium heat.
5.Check on it once a while and add more water if required. We are not looking for a mushy navalkol. It should be cooked yet retain its shape.
6.Turn off the heat and add fresh scraped coconut and coriander.
